Plymouth Charity Club

The Plymouth Ladies Charity Club was launched in October 2016 by Shelley Coleman, the founder and our Chairwoman. She is a highly motivated woman, whose sole aim with the charity is to raise money to help others, whilst having a great time doing so.

The PLCC is a local charity for local people, based here in Plymouth, created to provide grants of up to £500 for children and young adults (under 25) living within the PL postcode area.

The PLCC has a committee of 12 people who help to run the charity and decide on the grant applications, plus we have an ever increasing number of members. We are all volunteers, so everything we raise goes directly into the charity.

Our members are a friendly bunch of ladies from all walks of life, with a wide range of skills, experience and personalities. This brings diversity to our charity and we believe this diversity helps to make our charity the success that it is.

Anyone can apply for a grant or nominate someone to receive one through our website. We only have 2 criteria: the recipient must be under 25 years old and they must live within the PL postcode area.

We have also given grants to other local charities that help children and we have also helped many Plymouth schools and local Sports teams.

We welcome applications from people needing help in a variety of circumstances, including help with respite or additional child care, purchase of sports or musical equipment, training or travel fees, even just a well deserved treat or money for a school trip.

Our offer

To date we have raised £205,000 and given over 165 grants.
